Relational issues, families, and parenting
The people we're trying to stay close to.
Therapy for couples and partners of every structure, families, and the pre-teens, teens, and emerging adults finding their way, plus support for the parents learning to meet them there.

The work
Most of what hurts most happens between people.
The relationships we build a life around, with partners, parents, and children, are where our deepest needs and our oldest wounds tend to meet. I work with couples and partners navigating conflict, distance, trust, and change, including premarital support, polycules and non-traditional structures, mindful uncoupling, and co-parenting after separation or divorce; with families under strain; and with pre-teens, teens, and emerging adults (college and beyond) moving through the turbulence of becoming themselves.
For parents, I offer support and psychoeducation from birth through the teen years and beyond, for the hard, ordinary work of raising a young person: setting limits with warmth, staying connected through the pulling-away, and understanding a child whose world looks nothing like the one you grew up in. The aim, always, is closeness that can survive honesty.
When this is the work
When the work is between people.
Couples: conflict, distance & repair.
Whether you're in acute conflict, a slow drift, or preparing for marriage, we work on the patterns underneath, so you can be honest with each other without it costing you the relationship. And when the kindest path is apart, mindful uncoupling and co-parenting work keep the separation humane.
Pre-teens, teens & emerging adults.
Adolescence is its own country, and so are the college years and the decade after. I offer young people a space that's genuinely theirs, for identity, anxiety, mood, and the pressures of growing up now.
Parents & families.
Parenting support and family work for the households being renegotiated in real time, including families learning to affirm and understand a child's identity.
